We will walk you through how to assign a profile to an ad account, assign a pixel to your ad account, and connect the pixel to your profile.

πŸ”‘ Step 1: Go to Business Settings

  • Start by navigating to your Business Settings on Facebook.

  • Ensure your profile is already added to the Business Manager (BM).

πŸ“‘ Step 2: Select Your Ad Account

  • Go to Ad Accounts within the Business Settings.

  • Select the ad account you want to use.

πŸ§‘β€πŸ’» Step 3: Assign People to the Ad Account

  • Click on Assign People.

  • Add the profile you want to assign to this ad account.

⚠️Best Practices for Assigning Profiles

  • It’s recommended to assign only one profile at a time to avoid any restrictions on your profiles.

  • Adding multiple profiles at once may increase the risk of restriction.

πŸ’Ό Step 4: Access Ad Account in Ads Manager

  • Once you’ve assigned the profile, you can use the ad account by heading to Ads Manager.

πŸ”„ Step 5: Assign Pixel to the Ad Account

  • Now, go to Data Sources and select Data Sets.

  • Find the pixel you want to assign and select it.

Note: To manage the pixel under Data Sources, ensure you're using an Admin profile in the Business Manager. Only Admins have full permissions to assign or manage pixels.

  • Click on Assign People for the pixel.

  • Choose the profile you want to give access to and select the type of access (recommend full control).

πŸ“Š Step 7: Assign the Pixel to the Ad Account

  • Go to Assign Assets and choose the ad account to which you want to attach the pixel.

βœ… Step 8: Save and Finalize the Setup

  • After adding the pixel to both the profile and ad account, go back to Ads Manager.

  • You will now see the ad account and pixel available for selection.
