Please follow these steps to set up a Facebook Pixel and connect it to your account:

Choose a Tracking Solution

  • Options include tools like Omega, TrackBee, and WeTracked. For this guide, Omega is used.

Create a Pixel in Events Manager

  • Navigate to Events Manager from Facebook’s All Tools menu.

  • Press Connect Data > Web > Next > Create New Data Set.

  • Press Web -> Next

  • From Dataset press Create new dataset:

  • Name the pixel and save it by pressing Create. The pixel will now appear in Data Sources.

  • Your Pixel should be visible in a Data Sources:

Install a Tracking Solution

  • For example, in Shopify, download the Omega app and follow the installation steps.

  • Make sure to name your pixel

  • You can find the pixel ID by going back to the DataSources page:

  • After you added all the inforamtion, please press Next:

  • Use the Facebook Access Token from Data Sources:

    • Go to Settings and scroll down to find the token.

    • Click on it to copy or generate it, then paste it into the tracking solution:

Select Your Time Zone

  • Adjust the time zone to your location during setup:

Choose a Plan

  • Free plans are available, but the Shopify Basic Plan is recommended for enhanced tracking, including:

  • Conversions API tracking

  • Server-side events

Set Up Conversions API

  • In Pixel Manager, turn on Server-Side API and test server events using the provided test codes.

  • After pressing setup the test code is required, you may find it in your Pixel Test Events section:

  • In Events Manager, select your pixel and click Set Up Conversions API.

  • Choose Partner Integration > Shopify, then follow the steps to link your Shopify account.
